All you need is a positive attitude, a desire to learn, and a swimsuit.
While training is three days, the skills our guards learn last a lifetime.

Day 2 Video
Testing your abilities and learning life-saving skills
The day starts with you taking the swim, brick retrieval, and water tread tests.
This is followed by your training in surveillance, in-water rescues, CPR, AED, and first-aid, in a tell-show-do approach.
You will have ample opportunity for practicing the skills and receiving coaching from instructors.

Day 3 Video
First, you'll have a Q&A session where you can ask questions you have regarding the skills taught during the first 2 days. Then, you'll learn how to care for spinal-related injuries.
After lunch, you'll learn how to put it all together, being put into smaller groups for practical test-out scenarios, designed to test both you individually and the group on your ability to work together in providing care to a guest in distress.
This is followed by a written, multiple-choice exam to test your theoretical knowledge.

To be considered for a position, please submit your completed online employment application. Interviews will be scheduled by appointment only. All applicants must be at least 15 years old to apply for Shallow Water Lifeguards & 16 years old for Special Facilities Lifeguard at the time the application is completed to comply with child labor laws.
