Description: DelGrosso’s Herschell-Spillman Carouselle is the oldest ride in the Park. Our carousel contains 36 horses that move up and down and two stationary chariots. Guests need to step up onto the ride platform and transfer in and out of chariots or onto the horses.
Admission Requirements: Proper Admission (Fun Pass or Ride Tickets). Children under 24 months of age with complimentary Infant Wristband are admitted when accompanied by an adult with proper admission.
Health Requirements: None
Height Requirements: Guests must be 36’’tall to ride. Up to 2 guests under 36’’ tall may ride when accompanied by a Supervising Companion with proper admission.
Restraint System: Children under 36” must be seated in a chariot or on a horse. Supervising Companion must stand on the platform between the horses and assist in maintaining upright postural control. All riders on horses must sit in the middle of the saddle facing forward. Riders on horses should hold onto the pole in front of them for the duration of the ride. Riders in a chariot must remain seated for the duration of the ride.
Ridership Criteria: Each guest needs to be able to assume a saddle posture on the horse and hold their head upright, maintaining an appropriate center of gravity and upright postural control. Guests riding in a chariot must be able to hold their head up and maintain the appropriate center of gravity in a seated position throughout the duration of the ride. Guests must be able to grasp using at least one upper extremity or to brace using at least one lower extremity below the knee or be accompanied by a Supervising Companion that can assist the rider in meeting these criteria.
Alternate Access: Non-ambulatory guests enrolled in the Ride Accessibility Program should enter through the ride exit after receiving permission from the ride attendant. Guests may need companion assistance to transfer from mobility device to ride platform. This may include 1 elevated step. Wheelchairs are not permitted on the ride platform.
Service animals must remain on a leash, harness, or tether and/or be under control of their handler at all times and fit and remain seated on the floor of the ride platform, not the chariot seat.
